South Africa is home to almost 25% of the world's plant species, many of which have unique qualities and chemical profiles and can be used in cosmetics, the food industry and for their health and healing benefits in traditional medicine. Muthi Futhi aims to protect local biodiversity and retain indigenous knowledge by cultivating plants and bringing scientific legitimacy to traditional medicines through rigorous testing and manufacturing of medicinal plants according to international standards.
